This recipe is perfect for when you have friends over or are wanting a sweet snack after dinner.
Ingredients:
6 apples (green or red depending on taste)
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons reduced salt butter
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
1/4 cups sultanas
2 teaspoons honey
Heat a fan forced oven to 180 degrees and line a 20cm baking dish with baking paper. Cut the apples into quarters and place into baking dish. Personally i like to leave the apple skins on, however feel free to remove these. Sprinkle the layered apples with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Melt butter and honey in a saucepan, add the oats, sultanas, seeds and cinnamon until mixed through. Pour mixture on top of apples and place dish into the oven for 30 minutes or until apples are cooked through.
Serve plain or with Greek yoghurt opposed to ice cream.
